ABOUT ME
Son of Pedro Narvaez and Arllene Rivera, Manuel Narvaez was born in Bayamón but raised in Naranjito. His family was devoted to the community, especially his grandfather, Aurelio “Cheo” Rivera, who was the mayor of the City Council for 12 years.
He studied at Francisco Morales School in Naranjito until he got a scholarship to study at Defensores de la Fe school in Bayamón, where he graduated, and he was awarded the citizenship prize for his dedication, behavior, and humility towards people.

Since he started his career as a basketball player, he received multiple recognitions, such as Best Player of the Year, Best Offensive and Defensive Rebounding Player of the Season, and Sportsmanship Award, and he made the All-Stars Team for several seasons. Besides, in his resume, he has been an essential part of the National Team of Puerto Rico since 2005, awarded Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals.
Manuel Narváez pursued further education by taking courses in Sports Administration and Sociology in Sports, among others, in Oklahoma. However, due to his trips and commitments in Puerto Rico, he had to leave university for some time and focus entirely on basketball. Nevertheless, he always believed in the importance of education. Narváez eventually graduated from The University of Phoenix, Arizona, with a Bachelor's Degree in Sciences of Management and a Master's in Public Administration.
Manuel received guidance and support from several mentors and coaches from Puerto Rico and NBA Development League. Some of the notable names include Julio Toro, Flor Meléndez, Carlos Morales, Papo Pizarro, Ferdinand Cedeño, Baby Guisti, Miguel Mercado, Carlos Calcaño, Frazer Costa, Manolo Cintrón, Butch Lee and Michael Cooper from the NBA, amongst many others.
